Why this role
FlyingToast is past the blank-page phase and now needs a builder who can turn customer feedback into a stronger launch-ready product. This role owns practical work across Laravel, Vue, queues, AI workflows, publishing guardrails, and the small product details that make business users trust the system. You will work directly with the founder and ship visible improvements quickly.
What you'll do
- Ship end-to-end product improvements across Laravel 12, Vue 3, Inertia.js, and Tailwind CSS
- Harden trust-critical flows such as onboarding, brand setup, post generation, scheduling, publishing, and ToastAI actions
- Improve queue-backed AI and publishing workflows with clear failure handling and focused tests
- Talk through customer feedback and translate the strongest signals into small, shippable product changes
- Keep the codebase simple, readable, and launch-ready as the product grows
- Help define the early engineering bar through reviews, tests, and pragmatic technical decisions
What we're looking for
- 5+ years building production web products with Laravel, Vue, React, or comparable full-stack tools
- Strong product judgment: you can decide what to build, what to simplify, and what to leave alone
- Experience with queues, background jobs, API integrations, and operationally important workflows
- Comfort working with LLM APIs, prompts, structured outputs, or AI-assisted product surfaces
- A track record of shipping in small teams where ownership matters more than process
Nice to have
- Experience with Inertia.js or similar server-driven SPA frameworks
- Familiarity with Stripe billing integration (Laravel Cashier)
- Background in B2B SaaS, marketing tools, publishing workflows, or regulated industries

- Launch-critical product flows are measurably more reliable and easier to understand
- You own meaningful product areas without creating heavy process around them
- Customer feedback is turning into shipped improvements every week
Compensation
$140,000-$185,000/year
